In the past truck driving schools were able to operate the way they do with little or no exposure due to a lack of a medium for people to share information. Those days are over and it is just a matter of time now before they will have to start operating with a better business model. The internet has arrived and it looks like it is here to say so everyone has a voice now that can be heard.

Some truck driving schools and companies have been getting away with unethical business practices for a long time and are finding the internet and free speech to be quite annoying I am sure. For years they have been getting students to sign contracts for supposed free CDL training and failing a large portion of the class charging the failed students for the training that they did complete. Many students go to a trucking company school because they have no money and end up back at home a few weeks later owing thousands of dollars to the trucking company for the CDL Training they did complete.

With more and more people having internet access everyday this type of scam is being exposed and students are being educated before they sign these contracts. It is just a matter of time and hopefully the bad trucking schools will be put out of business. For now they are still operating because there are so many people in need of a job with no money for school. Everyone thinks that they can pass so they go ahead and sign the contracts anyway.

There are ways to get a commercial drivers license and get a trucking job without being ripped off but they are few and far between for a student with no money to spend. It would not be unrealistic to say that 50% of the students that sign up for some type of CDL training school, that do not have the money to spend up front, actually make it through the process and obtain a truck driver job. What happens to the other 50% can be found on trucking school review and rip-off report type sites all across the internet.

Before you go to a CDL school make sure you read the contracts and get any promises or guarantees in writing or you can be sure they will not be honored.
